Chatting about books, authors, reading devices and the latest events happening around the cyber-world of book reviews.
You might already be aware, but WH Smith, a large book retailer in Britain, announced today that it has temporarily shut down its website to "remove all self-published ebooks". The reason is due to graphic sexual nature of many books slipping through the cracks. Many of these titles are apparently so heinous that WH Smith could be found "liable for prosecution if a judge deemed that the ebooks breached the Obscene Publications Act."
The self-publishing industry is certainly changing the cyber landscape.
